Missing Link Tries to Climb Tree with Honda Chopper [Video]

Take a good look at the picture posted above. Now raise your hand if you know what’s going to happen next. If the first thing that popped into your head was that the tree is going to fall down, well, let's just say that you may want to see if this cultural motorcycle club is accepting new members.

If your thoughts involved a flying chopper inflicting a lot of pain to the biker, give yourself a pat on the back and head over the jump for a few good laughs.

What you’re about to see in the following video is one of the weirdest motorcycle accidents ever with an unexpected -yet admittedly, highly enjoyable-twist.

It features two racing motorcycles and their respective drivers during a round of the promosport Championship at the Magny Cours track in France. The incident began when the first motorcyclist slips before a turn sending his bike sliding on the tarmac, and eventually hit a rider in front knocking him down from his bike.

Up until this point, there is nothing out of the ordinary about the incident. But as the two bikers get up and try to lift their motorcycles, it happens… See for yourself in the video after the jump.

As this video proves, automobile drivers are not alone when it comes to dim-witted mistakes on the road. For unknown reasons, this particular motorcyclist was trying to manage the controls of the right handlebar of his high-performance bike with his left hand. And yes, as you may have already guessed, that’s a recipe for disaster.

Fortunately for the bike driver, the mishap occurred at low speeds and from the looks of it, he wasn’t hurt - at least not physically because his ego does seem a bit bruised… Click past the break to watch the amusing video clip.

Riding a motorcycle off a 3,300 ft / 1,000 meter high cliff is not something you see every day. Julio Munoz, a Chilean motocross rider, performed this daredevilish stunt in May 2011, as part of the 'BASE Project Los Andes' to promote the natural beauties of his country.

Rigged with special cameras, the 37-year-old paratrooper raced his 450cc motorcycle towards a specially prepared ramp and literally flew into the air before starting his descent. The bike crashed onto the rocks while Munoz successfully opened his parachute some 200 feet from the ground.

You would think a company that sells US$200,000+ supercars would have no need to hawk merchandise, but apparently not. Along with the expected assortment of watches, polo shirts and key rings is this US$331.40 racing helmet. You’re sure to look dapper when cruising around in your ~~dilapidated ’89 Mondial cabriolet~~ 250 Testa Rossa in this fine helmet made of satin-finish aluminium, metalised thermoplastic and genuine leather. The Great Escape: Motorcyclist Rides Through a Three-Car Accident

It is a known and sad fact that most drivers will experience an accident two at some point in their careers on the road. Fortunately for the motorcyclist seen in this footage from a closed circuit camera in a tunnel, it just wasn’t meant to happen this time. The driver of the motorcycle miraculously passed through a three car accident that seems to have been caused by two cars chasing each other,

We don’t know the wheres and whens of the incident and there’s a good chance that this video may not be new, but the commentator on the background appears to be speaking Portuguese (any help with translation would be appreciated). Watch the clip after the break.

The North Texas Tollway Authority released footage of a shocking accident that happened on a Dallas highway on March 17, 2011. The rider of the bike, 25-year-old Zacharie Perez, was hit violently by a careless driver from behind while slowing down. As a result of the impact, the motorcyclist was thrown onto another car.

The U.S. Army veteran managed to escape alive from the accident, but sustained several injuries including a broken rib. In a state where helmets are not mandatory for motorcycle drivers, Perez said that wearing it saved his life.

Mobility scooters (or shop riders) are big business in the UK, with close to a quarter of a million of the island nation’s elderly and disabled population using them to get around. In response to a previous untapped market segment, Environmental Transport Association (ETA) has introduced the world’s smallest caravan that can be towed by a mobility scooter.

In what’s perhaps more marketing ploy than real product, ETA’s QTvan is a 2 metre by 0.75 metre (6.6 feet by 2.5 feet) caravan incorporating a full-size single bed, an onboard battery supply, a 19-inch (48 cm) television, radio / alarm clock, kettle and drinks cabinet. It costs £5,500 (US$9,077 / €6,234) and is offered with such extras as roof-mounted solar panels, air horn, satellite dish, central heating and bespoke paint.

Maserati Teams up with Sicilian Bike Maker to Create Limited Edition 8CTF

BMW’s M division has one, and so does McLaren, Audi and even German tuning firm Lumma Design introduced a bicycle bearing its name in 2009. Therefore, it doesn’t come to much of a surprise that Italian sports car maker Maserati has presented a two-wheel creation.

To be precise, Maserati joined forces with Sicilian bicycle maker Montante Cicli for the development and production of the 8CTF that borrows its name from the Italian automaker’s famous racing car that won 500 miles of Indianapolis in both 1939 and 1940. The Montante for Maserati 8CTF will be produced in a limited run of just 200 individually numbered units, with all bicycles to be custom made to fit the rider.

We have all seen our fair share of crazy bikers, but we're pretty sure none of you have happened to come across something like this before. Well, maybe with the exception of our readers from Morocco, where the following footage is said to have come from. The man in the video thinks it's okay to ride his bike sitting horizontally on the saddle while doing 140 km/h (87 mph) on the highway.

Judging by the sound of the engine, it seems that the only way to reach such speed on that particular bike was to make it as aerodynamic as possible. Hence the streamlined riding position...

While promoting Jeep products must have been a boring chore for Ferrari’s F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, we’re pretty sure they had a good time competing against Ducati Moto GP’s Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden in a series of races held on ice. Vehicles of choice were the ever entertaining karts and some sweet looking Fiat 500s. Highlights in the video after the break.

VIDEO: Kawasaki ZX10 takes on Mazda RX-7 with Corvette V8 in Drift Challenge

Now here's something you don't see every day. Sent in by Carscoop reader Łukasz Ż, this enjoyable time-waster of the day pits a motorcycle against a rear-wheel drive sports car in an out of the ordinary drift challenge. In one corner we have Nick "Apex" Brocha of Icon Motorsports piloting a 2005 Kawasaki ZX10 with 175HP and an extended swingarm. In the other corner is professional racecar driver Jim Guthrie in a 1993 Mazda RX-7 powered by a 375HP Corvette V8 engine. The result? Follow the jump to find out.

Awesom-o Alert: Tim Burton, Your Bicycle is Ready

As a car lover, I regard the bicycle the same way a steak eater may regard tofu: I’m okay with it if that’s your thing, just keep it the heck away from me. However, sculptor and bespoke builder Josh Hadar may change my attitude to bicycles. You see, his bikes aren’t the sort of things ridden by tight buttocked men in spandex suits: these are works of art, pure and simple.

Hadar builds all of his bikes to order from his Manhattan studio and individually tailors them to the buyer’s body. Sort of like an Armani suit, except made of steel. Each bike purportedly costs between US$12,000 and US$35,000 and can take up to three months to make.

I think the one pictured above is my favorite. It’s called Eric’s Teardrop and it's nickel clad rolled steel with hand-spun aluminium wheels. Oh and that glass bit in the middle? That’s the fuel tank for the 80cc engine, and is made by hand, just like everything else.

You think Josh would make me a wireframe Bugatti Veyron?
